Congratulations Elizabeth Nguyen, on receiving the prestigious Harvard Book Award.

Former Hawaii Mayor Mufi Hannemann and the current President and CEO of Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association presented Elizabeth Nguyen with the Harvard Book Award on Wednesday, August 21 in front of the entire student body.

This award is given to the outstanding high school student in the next-to-graduating class (junior year) who "displays excellence in the classroom, excellence in extracurricular activities, and high moral character." Elizabeth holds a 4.31 GPA and is involved in numerous extracurricular activities in the school as well as in the community. She is very active in the church where she leads in bible studies and is a member of the choir.
