An Era of Championships

Aloha families of Damien Memorial School,

Athletics:

As you may already know, Eddie Klaneski ’93 had resigned from his position as Damien Athletic Director and Varsity Football Head Coach. His last day will be Friday, 8/20/21. During his employment at Damien, he raised the bar for all our athletes and coaches. He ushered a new era of championships that have gained our school a solid reputation in sports. We are grateful for his time with us and wish him the best on his new journey.

In the interim, we have a transition plan in place which includes Mr. Anthony Tuitele ’09 leading the football team and Ms. Shawna Lau Kong as lead liaison with the ILH. Your continuing support and collaboration will be much appreciated during this transition.

We will evaluate our athletic program needs and develop a plan and timeline for a more permanent solution to the job vacancy. As we are not yet ready to start the recruitment process at this time, please continue to check our website for future announcements.

Medical forms/records:

As we do our fall review of student medical records, we are noticing incomplete files and/or old records. Please contact Jill Sanford (jsanford@damien.edu) to update or provide any documents; or if you have any questions regarding your child’s school medical records file.
