Summer Parent Newsletter: July 2021

ALOHA

It’s been a little over a month since graduation 2021 and we have been busy closing off the school year as well as preparing for the fall semester. The pictures below show views of the road work from a couple of weeks ago that is happening at the main entrance to campus. Currently, our main entrance is completely blocked and if entering our parking lot, you will need to go to what would normally be the exit and enter there. As a reminder, our summer office hours are from Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

As shared in the last newsletter, families are encouraged to have your children vaccinated when eligible in order to assist in the fight against the further spread of COVID-19. We intend on a full return to campus next school year. To date, we have only heard from a handful of families who are choosing to remain online. Please contact Ms. Paishon (npaishon@damien.edu) to discuss your individual circumstance should that be necessary. Otherwise, we look forward to receiving all students to campus in the fall. We hope to get student schedules out possibly by next week. At this time it is safe to share that our campus will be open daily form 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Only for athletics and other preapproved school events will students be allowed to remain on campus after 4 p.m. Finally, our school website is currently under construction and we hope to get it up and functioning by the end of week.

Mahalo,

Dr. Kyle J. Atabay, ’84 Head of School
